New Toys

I love all the toys I have, but sometimes I get bored with the same things all the time...I like to play with new toys. Finnie's toys are so bright and colorful, but Mommy and Daddy won't let me play with them. I don't know why...Finnie has to learn to share too, right?

The other day I was in Finnie's room and saw his basket of toys right next to his bed. I decided to grab some toys from the basket to test them out. Finnie seems to have fun playing with and chewing his toys, especially his green and white chew-toy...so I took his favorite toy and started chewing on it...I thought it might help my sore gums (my 5th tooth is coming in now!). I guess I should also mention that I decided to test out his soft bed...

Mommy wasn't too happy with me, but she HAD to get a picture! Isn't that funny?! Mommy did laugh, but she thought it was gross! She said that I can't play with Finnie's toys because he's a dirty little dog (poor Finnie!).

I guess I'll stick to playing with my own toys...but that means that Finnie can't play with my toys either!

My First Time at the Beach

This week I went on vacation with Mommy and Daddy and Mommy's side of the family. It was so much fun! I went to the beach for the first time and even got to go in the ocean! The sand felt so funny in my hands and between my toes...but it didn't taste so good! I put a few handfuls in my mouth to check it out, but it was just crunchy...it was pretty gross!

There was so much activity this week...it really wore me out! It was great to be able to hang out again with cousins and my aunts and uncle. Thanks so much, Grandmom and Granddad, for letting us stay with you and for everything you did for us so we could have a great vacation! I can't wait to go again next year... :)

Crawling

A number of people have made comments about the way I crawl. I personally think there is nothing wrong with doing "the worm." I get around quickly by crawling that way...it works for me. But I've been getting a little annoyed by all the laughing...I could hear it, you know....about how I looked so funny crawling...

Well, this week I decided to start crawling the "accepted way." I don't want to hear anymore laughing, only praise for how well I'm doing now. Okay? I finally gave in and started moving my knees to get around...

See, I can do it...I just wanted to try out something different first before crawling the way everyone else does. It's good to want to be unique, right?!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Saturday is my Daddy's birthday. I wanted to get him a present, but he said I didn't need to get him one. I had to do something for him, so I decided to dedicate my blog to him today.

I love my Daddy so much! He plays with me and makes me laugh! I love to watch him play with Finnie and kick my ball around. My favorite thing to do with him now is to sing and play the guitar.

I even have a video of us playing together...

Daddy, I hope you have a wonderful birthday. Mommy and I are looking forward to celebrating your day with you. Thank you for how you lead and support our family and for how you show so much love to me.

Better Picture of My Teeth

Well, it's been about a week and a half since I got my first tooth, and now my 4th tooth is coming in! I sure got a lot of teeth fast! My whole mouth hurt, but the soreness didn't last too long. I feel better now and will even let Daddy and Mommy see my teeth...well, at least my bottom teeth...I don't want to show my top teeth until they're all the way through.

I think I'll let everyone see my top teeth soon. Until then, I hope I get a break from this teething business...at least until after this weekend. Saturday is Daddy's birthday, but we're going to celebrate it on Sunday or Monday because we're going to a party that day...we're going to New Jersey to see Daddy and Mommy's college friends and all of their kids. It's going to be fun! I'll make sure we get pictures. I just hope I don't sleep through the party like I did the last time we all got together (when I was 1 month old)...I'm planning to not even take a nap that day!

Happy 4th of July

I hope everyone had a good time celebrating our nation's birthday. I know I did. I got to spend time with family, which is always fun. Uncle Murray and Aunt Patti had a bunch of people to their house to celebrate. I had to miss out on the fireworks, though...hopefully I'll get to see them next year...

While we were there, Mommy got pictures of me in the rocking chair that she had in her room when she was a little girl. I can't believe Mommy was ever that small! It was fun to sit in a chair that was my size!



I wanted to show off my USA shirt too...I had to dress for the occasion!

I Finally Got One!

I finally got my first tooth! Daddy and Mommy said it was coming, but it took so long for it to come! They had told me at 4 months that I would get one soon, but it didn't come for another 6 months! I thought for a while that I would never get one! I do so well with chewing anyway...why did I need teeth? But I've been looking around at everyone's mouth, and they all have a bunch of them...I guess I do need them. They will help me chew really hard foods when I get older.

It's great having a tooth and everything, but I do have to tell you that it HURT when it came through! And how many more will I have come in?! I don't know if I could handle that! The pain of my new tooth kept waking me up at night! That's a lot of sleep to lose! Mommy gives me medicine sometimes, and that definitely helps.

So, now that I have a tooth, everyone wants to see it...but I don't want everyone looking in my mouth all the time! Daddy and Mommy keep trying to look at it and take a picture of it, but I keep covering it up with my tongue...I like how it feels!

Mommy tried to take a picture of my tooth today, but I didn't make it easy for her..

You can kind of see my tooth in the next picture...it's on the bottom on my left, just above the shiny part of my lip...

Maybe later today I'll let Mommy or Daddy have a good look at it so they can have a decent picture of my tooth...after my nap might be good, when I'm a little more awake!
