I've Mastered the Stairs!

Daddy and Mommy have let me climb the stairs for a while now, but they would never let me go DOWN them...until just recently. I'm pretty good at getting down the stairs FAST! Mommy tried to catch me yesterday before I got to the stairs, but I was too quick...I just slid right down on my belly!

Check out this video of me going down the stairs. I was taking my time going down because I knew Mommy was filming me (I had to make sure everyone could see me and not just a blur!)...I even stopped on the way to wave at Finnie who was watching me from the living room...

Mommy wanted me to say "Hi," but I didn't...sorry Mommy. But I did say "Hi" when she played the camera back to me! :)

Our Trip to Colorado

Last week Mommy, Daddy and I went to Colorado to celebrate Mommy and Daddy's 10th anniversary. We got to see a lot and even got to visit with some friends while we were there!

I have to tell you all about our fun trip:

First, we flew in a big airplane from Philly to Denver. That was fun...Mommy and Daddy said I did a great job on the flight! Here I am with Daddy on the plane...

Then, we picked up our rental car and drove to Colorado Springs. We saw the Air Force Academy (Daddy drove down a restricted road there...you'll have to ask him about it!) and then went to the Garden of the Gods.

The next day we drove to the Royal Gorge Bridge. There was a little train there that I got to sit in...

Then, it was off to Vail to see the slopes (minus the snow!). We got to see so many huge mountains while we were driving...some of those had snow on them! We stopped in Breckenridge on the way where I got to eat a crepe and test out my new Nike shoes...

After spending the night in Vail, we took a long car drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. There were really tall mountains there! Mommy and Daddy kept stopping to take pictures...

Once we got through the park, we went to visit our friends, the Gillmores. I had a lot of fun there playing with their five boys! They watched me while Mommy and Daddy stayed a night in Denver.

Mommy and Daddy said that they had fun in Denver. They really liked the tour they took of Coors Field.

We had so much fun in Colorado, but we're happy to be home. It was nice to see a different part of the country. It's just a little hard getting used to being in different time zones...I'm still on Mountain Time!

My 1-Year Pictures

My pictures are in, and I wanted to show you some of them. I was pretty happy the whole time I was getting my pictures taken, but I kept smiling AFTER the photographer took the pictures. I guess I need to practice smiling BEFORE the flash goes off! Daddy and Mommy are happy with how the pictures turned out, though.

Mommy thinks this next picture is cute, but I'm making a pretty funny face.

Walking

I'm really starting to get the hang of walking now. Daddy thinks it won't be long until I can do it by myself. I just need to build up some confidence to take a step without holding on to the coffee table or my walking toy. I'm doing a great job with my walking toy, though (that's what Daddy tells me! :) ).

Check out how well I can do...

A New Place for My Toys

I got shelves with bins for my birthday (thanks Grandmom and Granddad!). I needed a place to put all my new toys. It's really nice and looks good in my room. Most of my things were able to fit in the bins too!

Here I am playing with a toy next to the shelves:

A closer look...

When will I get a phonecall?

I'm waiting for the day when someone calls our house and wants to talk to ME. Mommy and Daddy get phonecalls everyday. Why can't I? I can say "Hello" you know...and I've been practicing. Every time I see the phone or hear it ring I say "hello" and wave. I know what to do...

I got a toy phone for my birthday from Mommy and Daddy...they know I love phones. It's fun to play with, but I know it's not the REAL thing. I try to play with their phones whenever I get a chance. Mommy took some pictures of me today with a phone:

I was waiting for it to ring so I could answer it and hear a voice coming from inside...
It didn't ring!
If any of you want to give me a call, I'd love to talk to you. The only problem now is that Daddy and Mommy keep the phones up high, and I can't reach them! I'll have to figure out a way around that...I'm a pretty good climber...I could probably reach at least one of them if I try hard enough!
