On to New Things...

Now that I'm an expert at crawling (yes, I have my own style-"the worm!"), I'm ready to move on to walking. First, I want to be able to pull myself all the way up in my crib...I'm getting close...I just need to find a way to grab the top bar. I get so excited when Mommy and Daddy come in my room to get me that I want to jump up and greet them...

That's fun, but my biggest goal is to walk...I could get around so much faster than I can now! My friends Jimmy and Cody gave me a toy that may be able to help me. Check me out in the next pictures...


I'm such a big girl, aren't I?! Look out Mommy and Daddy! It won't be long before I'm running all over the place! I think it may be time to get me my first REAL soccer ball...

My "Spill-Proof" Cup

I love drinking water from my sippy cup! Mommy likes it because I can drink out of it and it won't spill...well, at least most of the time! Lately, water has been spilling out from the side of the lid in both of my sippy cups. I don't mind, but Mommy is not too happy with that!

Yesterday when Mommy had to take care of Finnie, I managed to spill all of the water out of my cup. Mommy came back to get me and there was water all over the place...on me, my highchair, all over the highchair tray and on the floor! I was having a ball with it...I made my own little pool in the kitchen. I was splashing water all over! It was so much fun!

So much for spill-proof cups, huh?! We babies know how to get into everything! At least Mommy only gives me water in a cup now...just wait until she starts to give me milk...that could be a little messy!

Time to Lower the Crib Mattress...Again!

Mommy heard me crying today when I was supposed to be taking my nap. She was concerned so she came in to check on me. I'm glad she did because I had pulled myself up on the side of the crib and was stuck! I didn't know what to do! So, what did Mommy do? Instead of helping me get down, she got her camera. I guess that was okay because now you all get to see what I was doing.


Mommy found me on my knees holding onto the top of the crib. But when she got the picture, I had fallen down a little bit. Even though I had been crying (hence the red eyes!), I smiled for the picture (I do that whenever I see a camera now...Mommy says I'm a ham!).



Looks like Mommy will have to lower the crib mattress today. She doesn't want me to climb up and fall out...I guess that's a good thing!

On the Move

Daddy and Mommy can't leave me alone for even a minute now...I'm all over the place! I guess you could say I'm crawling now, even though I have a funny way of doing it. Check out this video of me going after my hat...





My favorite thing to go after in my room is the trashcan...I love dumping everything out on the floor. But Mommy puts it out of my reach now!


I also like to get my innertube, which we keep in my room. I don't think Daddy and Mommy realize that it's just my way of telling them that I want to go swimming again...I thought grabbing it and throwing it around the room would give them a clue! Oh well...Mommy said I can probably go swimming on Saturday when Grandma and Grandpa are here. Yay!

Update:

I'm really moving now! Mommy put me in my room when she went to check something on the computer. I wanted to go too, so I followed her. Mommy was so surprised to look at the door to the computer room and see me! I crawled there all the way from my room! Daddy and Mommy have to really watch me now...especially around the stairs...I haven't mastered them yet, but I'm sure it won't be long until I can!

I'm a Water Baby!

I went swimming for the first time on Tuesday and I LOVED it! Aunt Tracy had Mommy and me over for lunch and to spend time in the pool. I had so much fun! I loved watching my cousins swim and jump off the diving board too. Thankfully Aunt Tracy had her camera (Mommy forgot hers!) and took pictures of me. I was all smiles...I didn't stop smiling the whole time! I even clapped for the first time in the pool! I had fun floating in my innertube and kicking and splashing. I even liked when my cousins splashed water in my face (by accident, of course!).

I hope I get the chance to swim a lot this summer. I hear that I'll be going to the ocean and to a lake too...

Fun With My Ball

I showed you a picture of my new ball in my last post. I didn't know what to do with it at first, but now I am having fun playing with it. Watching Daddy kick the ball really makes me laugh...it's so funny to see the ball move so fast! (I'll have to show you that video later...we have it on the camcorder...)
