Week 2 is on!

Well, week number 2 started out pretty much the same as week 1 ended...I was just hanging out and napping...
Then, I got some special visitors! Grandmom and Granddad came to visit and help mommy while daddy went back to work.

That was so much fun...and they were so generous...they brought me a whole bunch of really cute outfits to complement my cuteness (confirmed in a recent poll...see below!). Then Aunt Tracie and Julia came to visit and spend time with me...not only did they visit...they brought me really cool presents...what a blessing to have such a generous family!

It was pretty relaxed, but that odd character kept trying to take the attention away from me...

...he is not so bad though...I just hope I outweigh him soon!

The day after Grandmom and Grandad left, mom and dad took me to meet my church family...this was my first Sunday service, and I was so excited...

...I didn't know what to expect, but it was a great time. Everybody was so nice and kept looking in my stroller at me and smiling and hugging or shaking hands with mom and dad. I look forward to talking with these people more. Then we sang songs (well, I mostly slept) and heard Mr. O preach (well, I mostly slept through that too)...then it was time to go. Mom said that we wouldn't be back for a whole week...

...that is, like, almost twice my lifespan away! I guess it isn't too long though...the last 10 days went so fast, I can wait another week! This adventure has been so fun...dad said he was going to take me to a very special place on Tuesday since he has the day off...he said something about reading and drinking coffee...we'll see what that is all about!

What a Weekend!

Well...what a weekend I had...after catching some zzz's, I asked mommy and daddy if they could invite some friends over to visit...so I partied all day Saturday and Sunday...it was great! Just look at all the friends I got to meet!

There were more too...plus, I got to meet more family...apparently, dad said, they will be my future babysitters, and they said they'd do it for free...what nice family I have.

Mom and dad said that there were more that I haven't even met yet...there's Uncle Mike, and Aunt Holly and Ryan, and there's Jessica all from Maryland...plus there's a whole bunch of Norwegians from New England...Uncle Karl and Aunt Quinn...plus Kristian, and Erik and Ethan and Seth...those sound like Viking names!

After all of that, I was tired again...so I slept...

and slept...

and I had some other business to take care of...

I was finally ready for my first doctor appointment. I got checked out, and by God's grace, I was totally fine...nothing abnormal except my dad...I even gained some weight! Mommy was really happy about that since she has been working so hard to keep me fed. Thanks Mommy! I love you.

Well, I am getting tired again, so I think I will go lay in my crib and look cute so daddy gets all googlie eyed again...he's a softie!

Welcome to the Adventure!

05.45...23 Aug 2007...breath number 1.

That's how it started...after 9 months of God's formative hand inside of mommy, I made my entrance at a hair under 6 pounds and 2 hairs over 19 inches...with very little hair to spare.

Here I am after saying hi to the parental unit...though you might not be able to read my lips...I am asking for a warm blanket.

Not long after, I got to greet mommy properly.

She did such an incredible job...and I was so happy to look at her face...just look how beautiful she is...you can see why I wanted to look at her!

I look forward to many years with mommy.

I got some visitors pretty early...they waited all night for me to show up. I was glad to see them!

I had plenty of other visitors stop by...uncles and aunts and grandparents...so many faces to meet and to thank for all the prayers. I am looking forward to getting to know all of them...what a blessing that God dropped me into this family!

I wanted to get home right away, so after 1 day at Chestnut Hill Hospital, I got into my carseat and headed home.

I slept soundly the whole way!

Then I slept soundly as soon as we got home...

I have been sleeping pretty soundly since.

I have had many visitors come by to say hi...it has been great to meet my church family.



I even got to meet this one character that seems a bit different than the rest of my new friends...he was the only one to greet me with a lick...I think I will like him.

Well, I am tired and hungry, and I think I need a new nappy...plus daddy wants to stare at me and with all of that business, it may not be wise to keep typing...it takes a really long time to type with such small fingers...so I will go back to sleep now.
